About the76ers Camps

The 76ers Camps were started in 1985 as an opportunity for youngsters to learn the fundamentals of the game and to "rub elbows" with NBA players. The first year began with a few weeks of overnight camp of approximately 100 campers in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania.

By 1988, the overnight camp had filled to capacity of over 200 campers per week. It was that year that the Day Camps were started in 4 communities throughout Philadelphia and the suburbs. The Day Camp program has since grown to 18 locations that provide a great learning experience for campers 5-17 years old.

Today, basketball players of all skill levels learn the game from the best camp coaching staff in the NBA along with present and past 76ers players and coaches. Our experienced coaches are handpicked for their basketball knowledge and ability to work well with kids. All players learn the fundamentals of the game and how to communicate with their teammates and coaches while learning about the important character muscles that make them a great leader. Every year, the 76ers Camps quickly sell out and enrollment is limited. Applications are accepted on a rolling first come, first serve basis.
